Paige Noelle Brown
Paige Brown a sophomore at A. Philip Randolph High School in Manhattan, New York, is an exceptional academic achiever with a passion for the performing arts. She actively participates in school plays, dance, and has recently joined the step team, showcasing her diverse interests and talents. Beyond her accomplishments in extracurricular activities, Paige's charming personality and optimistic nature have driven her to explore various opportunities.
Having taken on lead roles in school plays and earned victories in dance competitions and the New York City Debate Club, Paige's achievements are a testament to her determination and dedication. She recognizes that her academic studies play a crucial role in shaping her future and nurturing her aspiration of becoming a Pediatric General Surgeon.
In her free time, Paige enjoys socializing with friends, watching movies, and indulging in her love for reading. Always eager to learn more and expand her horizons, she embodies a true spirit of curiosity and enthusiasm.
With her outspoken nature and unique insights into the needs of teenagers, Ms. Brown is excited about the opportunity to support Dandelions Are Flowers Too. Akhiir McNeil
Akhiir McNeil, a sophomore at Newburgh Free Academy in Newburgh, New York, takes great pride in his academics and consistently earns a place on the honor roll. Besides excelling in his studies, Akhiir has been a devoted participant in school plays and musicals, a passion he has cultivated since the first grade.
Looking ahead to the future, Akhiir has ambitious goals. He aspires to attend a Historically Black College (HBCU) to pursue a career as a Clinical Pharmacist, driven by his desire to make a positive impact on people's health. Additionally, his love for dancing runs deep, and he dreams of becoming a professional dancer. With years of dance experience, including training in various styles like Ballet, Tap, West African, Jazz, Modern, Lyrical, and Hip-hop, he has garnered numerous awards and recognition for his talents.
Currently, Akhiir is an integral part of his school's advanced dance team and has previously danced at the esteemed Newburgh Performing Arts Academy (NPAA). His ultimate dance school aspiration is to be a part of the renowned Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
Despite his busy schedule, Akhiir embraces new experiences and enjoys spending time with friends, engaging in activities such as competitive swimming, dancing, and rowing during his leisure hours.
Thrilled to be a prominent member of Dandelions Are Flowers Too, Akhiir is eager to contribute his ideas on how to better support his peers. With his dedication and enthusiasm, he aims to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others within the organization and beyond.
Andrew Burton
Andrew Burton, a sophomore at Newburgh Free Academy, is charismatic and bright with a passion for basketball. He spends much of his time honing his skills on the court, dreaming of one day becoming a professional athlete. Beyond his athletic pursuits, Andrew is known for his friendly and approachable nature, effortlessly connecting with peers and mentors alike.
Academically, he consistently demonstrates his intelligence, impressing teachers with his keen understanding of various subjects. Balancing his love for sports with his commitment to academics, Andrew exemplifies determination and discipline, setting a shining example for his fellow students. He remains driven by his dream of making it big in the world of basketball. His personable demeanor and exceptional intellect make him a well-rounded individual with a bright future ahead.
Andrew is eager to join the D.A.F.T. team to contribute his unique insights and perspective. Enthusiastic about making a positive impact, he believes that his passion for sports and his intelligence can play a vital role in the organization's mission.
